Onsite Courses
Engage and train your team with FFLGuard. Through our engaging in-person training courses, FFLGuard’s team of experts provides individuals and businesses with the critical resources needed for success in the heavily regulated firearms industry. These courses cover topics important to FFLs, including:
Firearms Compliance: Remaining in compliance with national and state regulations is the easiest way for an FFL to avoid issues with the ATF. FFLGuard’s Firearms Compliance training focuses on educational training and proactive compliance strategies to safeguard the viability of the client’s FFL.
Form 4473: An ATF Form 4473, or a Firearms Transaction Record, is required when a firearm is purchased from an FFL holder. The form records the sale, verifies the prospective buyer’s information, and ensures that the dealer has conducted a background check. Mistakes on this form are result in some of the most common ATF violations. FFLGuard’s training provides FFLs the tools to not only avoid simple mistakes but avoid violations that can turn costly.
The cost for these courses varies per request.

Additional Services
FFLGuard is proud to offer a wide range of legal and compliance services in addition to our FFL courses. These options pair well with your onsite or online training program from FFLGuard.
SiteVisit
FFLGuard offers onsite compliance visits, or SiteVisits, for $1,750 per day plus travel expenses. FFLGuard’s experts will conduct a sample audit by performing a random-sample quality check of your A&D Book and completed F4473s. A report is then generated to evaluate your compliance, indicate what issues may exist, and suggest potential options for corrective action to avoid future issues with ATF.
DeepDIVe or Mock ATF Inspection
A Drop In Visit Evaluation, or DeepDIVe, is a “house call” that FFLGuard can perform at our discretion or that you can request and schedule for an additional charge. A DeepDIVe goes through many of the same steps as the SiteVisit, but includes some additional, more thorough features. FFLGuard professionals will assess your ATF compliance and evaluate your potential vulnerabilities if an ATF inspection were to occur imminently.
Frequently Asked Questions
According to the ATF, FFLs must comply with federal firearms laws and implementing regulations, including the Gun Control Act (GCA) and the National Firearms Act (NFA). Industry Operations Investigators (IOIs) with the ATF will conduct inspections of FFLs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and educate licensees on the specific requirements of those laws and regulations.
While it can be a hassle to closely follow firearms compliance, these regulations were implemented to protect the public from the criminal firearms use of firearms, prevent illegal firearms trafficking, and promote safe handling of firearms. Following these guidelines allows you to protect yourself and your business while working to avoid potential violations and administrative actions, which can result in license revocation by the ATF.
The ATF offers resources and reference materials for FFLs. For specific questions or further insight, talking to a legal expert at FFLGuard can help you understand how different FFL resources can impact you.
