Q: We had a customer come in to drop off a firearm for repair. He has since become a prohibited person, so we cannot return the firearm to him. However, he has a friend who wants to pick up the firearm. He has given his friend a letter indicating that he would like his friend to take possession of the firearm because he himself cannot any longer. Is this sufficient to transfer the firearm to the friend, or do we need to do anything else?
